How we work
Free guides, tours that fit them and honest reviews. Here is how we make them, what we will never do and how this site earns.
- Nothing invented
- Scores only when we tried it
- Affiliate links labelled
What we believe
Planning a trip should feel lighter, not harder.
Plans, not piles of tips
We write complete day plans with routes and timings, so you spend less time planning and more time in the city.
We say what to skip
If a stop is not worth your time, the guide tells you. Honest advice beats a longer list.
Free to read
Guides are free, with no paywall and no account. Saved items stay in your own browser.
How a guide is made
Every itinerary goes through the same four steps.
- 1
Pick a traveler
We write for one kind of traveler at a time: first-timers, couples, families, food lovers.
- 2
Plan the day
Routes, timings and opening hours come first, so the day actually works on foot.
- 3
Add the honest notes
Tips, what to skip and when to book ahead, in plain words.
- 4
Keep it fresh
Rome changes. When you tell us something is out of date, we fix it.
How we choose tours
We list tours that fit our guides. You book and pay with the partner, never with us. Every tour page shows the same facts, so you can compare.
Every tour page shows
- How to book, and who you book with
- What is included, and what is not
- The meeting point and duration
- The cancellation policy set by the partner
How service reviews and scores work
A score is a promise that we used the service ourselves.
We used it
- You see a score out of 10
- You see what we found and who it suits
- We say when a link earns us a commission
We did not use it
- There is no score, ever
- The review says plainly that we did not try it
- You only get what we could check
What you will see, and what you will not
The rules we hold ourselves to on every page.
You will see
- Prices only when they are real and shown with their basis
- Ratings only with a real source
- Clear labels on affiliate links
- Real end dates on every deal
You will never see
- Invented prices or ratings
- Fake countdowns and "only 2 left" pressure
- Made-up reviews or testimonials
- Availability we cannot confirm
How this site earns
Free guides still need to be paid for. This is how.
- Step 1
You pick a tour or service
You choose what suits your trip, using our guides and reviews.
- Step 2
You book with the partner
You pay the partner directly, at the same price as going to them yourself.
- Step 3
The partner may pay us
On some links the partner pays us a small commission. It never changes your price or what we recommend.
