PrivatePrivate Piaggio Ape Calessino Tour: Appian Way and Food
Overview
Go beyond the usual route in a vintage 1972 electric Piaggio Ape Calessino. Three hours take you along the Aurelian Walls and the Appian Way, then into Garbatella and Testaccio for food stops.
You start near the Pyramid of Caius Cestius and pass the Baths of Caracalla, Santo Stefano Rotondo and the Aurelian Walls before joining the Appian Way, with the Quo Vadis church and the Tomb of Cecilia Metella on the way.
The second half moves to the Garbatella district and Testaccio, with stops for cured meats and cheese and for pastry and coffee. The tour is private for up to four people and includes an English-speaking guide and a tour assistant. Some light walking is involved.
